Cesar Tavares

Cesar Tavares is the Senior Director of Emerging Technology at Octo. Cesar has over fifteen years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in Agile and DevOps transformation projects. Tavares played a key role in scaling AgileCraft and positioning the company for acquisition. Cesar also helped develop the foundational product and later reengaged to lead the global Solution Architecture team. Tavares has led large-scale Agile and DevOps digital transformation projects with Fortune 500 and government accounts, guiding the customer journey from adoption through installation and configuration. Cesar has also served as a technical liaison between clients, support staff, and the Service Engineering team. Tavares has a proven track record of driving revenue and product adoption through strategic planning. Cesar is also an expert in product development and functionality improvements, having led ongoing improvements to the AgileCraft platform.

Cesar Tavares has a BA in International Business/Political Science from Virginia Tech. Cesar also has a field in Computer Software Engineering from Free Code Camp. Cesar is certified from IBM in IBM Blockchain Essentials, Scaled Agile Academy in Scaled Agile Framework Agilist, Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional Certification, 3HT in ITIL Version 3 Foundation Certification, ASQ in Software Quality Engineer Certification, and BSI in ISO 9001:2000 Certification. Cesar is also a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance.
