Simon Johnson

Simon Johnson is a Planning Manager at Octopus Energy Generation since February 2024, with extensive experience in planning and environmental consultancy. Previously, Simon served as Unit Director for Environmental Planning at Delta-Simons Ltd from March 2017 to February 2024, and held various roles including Associate, Principal Consultant, and Senior Consultant. Simon was also the Honorary Treasurer for RTPI Yorkshire from January 2017 to December 2022. Prior roles include Senior Planner at ENGIE and Development Management Officer at COFELY UK - GDF SUEZ GROUP, alongside key planning positions at East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Simon's expertise encompasses a wide range of major planning applications, particularly in renewable energy, agricultural, tourism, commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. Simon holds an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning and has completed several certifications in planning studies and customer service.
