Cynthia Chan

Cynthia Chan has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources and people operations. Cynthia started their career as a People Intern at ASOS.com in 2013 and then progressed to roles such as Senior People Administrator, Reward Analyst, and Senior HRIS Analyst at the same company. In 2019, they joined TransferWise as a Senior HRIS Specialist, where they led technical and process solution design for multiple regions. Cynthia'saccomplishments at TransferWise include implementing Absence plans in HRIS globally and establishing a Headcount planning process. In 2020, they moved to iTech Media as a People Lead, Operations & Infrastructure. Currently, Cynthia is the Head of People Operations at Octopus Energy, where they oversee various functions like Reward, Payroll, and Workspace.

Cynthia Chan pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 2011 to 2015, they attended Aston University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology with Professional Placement. Later, from 2015 to 2017, they attended BPP University and acquired a CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Diploma in Human Resources Management. Additionally, in June 2019, Cynthia obtained a certification in Workday Pro Compensation from Workday.
