Carl Beddows has a diverse work experience in the mapping and cartography field. Carl started their career in 1994 as a GIS Specialist at Hunting Technical Services. From 2001 onwards, they joined the Octopus Publishing Group, where they held various roles including Digital Mapping & Cartography, Digital Mapping Manager, and Head of Mapping Systems. Their most recent role at Octopus Publishing Group is as the Head of Mapping Systems, which they have been in since June 2018.
Carl Beddows received a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Land Administration and Geographical Techniques from the University of Bedfordshire in 1996. Carl then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mapping Science from the same institution, which they completed in 1997. In 2009, Carl obtained a Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) in Geographic Information Science (GISc) from Birkbeck, University of London.
