Simon joined Octopus Ventures in 2012 and looks after the origination strategy.
With a background as a scientist, he’s passionate about new tech and its positive impact on all their lives.
He pursues that passion by focusing on deep tech investments, including looking at companies building novel AI and machine learning tech, advanced materials, semiconductors and quantum computing.
His academic background is in physics, chemistry and materials, culminating in a PhD in organic electronics from Imperial College London.
