Kevin Zuidervliet is an experienced horticulturist and entrepreneur, currently serving as the Owner/Grower and Head Propagator at Octoraro Native Plant Nursery since April 2021. Previously, Kevin held the role of Nursery Horticulturist at Longwood Gardens, where responsibilities included cultivating containerized trees and shrubs, managing pest control, and training horticulture students. Kevin's background also includes significant experience in community service as a Food Access Coordinator with AmeriCorps VISTA, as well as various leadership positions during academic years at Susquehanna University. Kevin's education culminated in a Bachelor of Arts in Student Development in Higher Education from Susquehanna University in 2013.

Octoraro Native Plant Nursery celebrates 25 years of business in 2015. We are a wholesale container grower of mid-Atlantic and Northeast native trees and shrubs. We supply plants for environmental restoration and conservation projects. Our customers include contractors, government/agencies, non-profit organizations, golf courses, academic institutions and retailers with a focus on native plants.
