Walter Montes

Walter Montes is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and software architecture. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Octus since August 2023, Walter previously held positions as a Software Architect at Reorg and Technical Lead at FinDox Inc., where responsibilities included leading frontend engineering and developing data extraction and analytics products. Walter has also been the Chief Executive Officer of the digital therapeutics startup NeoClinic and the CEO of Covalent, which focused on IaaS deployment automation for blockchain networks. Additionally, Walter has contributed to academia as an invited professor at LEAD University and INCAE Business School, teaching strategic sales, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. Recognized as a Most Valuable Professional by Microsoft for expertise in Visual Studio and development technologies, Walter is noted for being the youngest recipient in Central America and the first in Costa Rica for web technologies.
