Rocío Romero Álvarez

Rockie C. is an accomplished Program Manager at Lonza since March 2023, overseeing multidisciplinary teams for clinical manufacturing of biologics. Prior experience includes serving as Technical Program Lead and Senior Scientist at CareDx, Inc. from June 2021 to March 2023, where Rockie directed product development and automation for AI/ML-based diagnostics and successfully identified clinical biomarkers for kidney transplant validation. At Senti Biosciences, Rockie held positions as Senior Scientist and Scientist II from July 2019 to May 2021, leading gene therapy initiatives in collaboration with Roche companies. Rockie’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
