Daniel Smoot

Daniel Smoot is a skilled research engineer with a strong background in biomedical engineering and medicine. Currently serving as Research Engineer II at Ocular Therapeutix, Inc. since January 2015, Daniel has progressed from Research Engineer I to a more advanced role. Previous experience includes a biomedical engineering internship at Tufts University, where Daniel designed growth-factor delivery scaffolds from the silk of Bombyx mori. Additionally, Daniel has held positions as an Activities Coordinator at Chatham Bars Inn and as an Assistant at Pod Digital Design. Daniel holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of New England, a Master of Engineering in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Connecticut College.
