Ted Chua, Ph.D.

Ted Chua, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Ted is currently the Director of Product Marketing for Radar Technology at Ambarella Inc and Oculii™ (An Ambarella Technology). Before joining Ambarella, Dr. Chua served as the Director of Product Management, Marketing, and Business Development at Cadence Design Systems from 2018 to 2022. Ted also led a team that focused on the Cadence Tensilica horizontal product portfolio, which included Xtensa controllers/processors, ISO 26262 functional safety products for automotive, software tools, and university programs.

Prior to Cadence Design Systems, Dr. Chua held the position of Director of Multimedia Business & Products at Intel Corp from 2006 to 2018. In this role, they were responsible for managing the multimedia business and products in various markets, including set-top box, OTT, IPTV, smart home, video, home entertainment, and mobile. Ted also played a key role in expanding the business into adjacent markets.

Before their tenure at Intel, Dr. Chua operated their own consulting firm, Chua Consulting, from 2005 to 2007. As the owner, they provided consulting services in various areas.

Dr. Chua's earlier experience includes working at Inter-Tel, Inc. as a Senior Leader in Firmware/Software Development from 1996 to 2006.

Ted Chua, Ph.D. has a strong educational background in Computer Science and Engineering, as well as Global Management.
