Ricardo Baeza-Yates

Ricardo is our globally recognized research expert in the ethical and responsible use of AI. Half Chilean and half Catalan, Ricardo is a Computer Scientist from Universidad de Chile and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo with a solid background in computer and information sciences, author of a dozen patents related to search and classification. He currently serves as Research Director at the Experiential AI Institute at Northeastern University in Silicon Valley and a member of the DATA Lab at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences. Ricardo leads with knowledge and vast experience the world of data mining and algorithms, a subject where he is most frequently cited thanks to his publications on biases in data and on the web.
