Paul McLaren

Paul McLaren has over 17 years of experience in the drilling industry, currently serving as an Assistant Driller at Odfjell Drilling since July 2010, where responsibilities include accurate measurement of tubulars and ensuring operational safety. Prior roles include Derrickman at SEAWELL / ODFJELL DRILLING, managing mud pit volumes and equipment maintenance, and Assistant Derrickman and Roughneck at SEAWELL DRILLING and Noble Drilling, focusing on rig housekeeping and equipment inspection. Paul also has a background in insurance as a Claims Supervisor at Direct Line Group, where team development and complex claims management were key duties. Paul holds a BTEC National Diploma in Business & Finance from John Smeaton College.
