Al Beydoun

Al Beydoun, Ph.D. has a comprehensive work experience spanning several reputable companies in the automotive industry. Al most recently served as the President and Executive Director of ODVA since 2018. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2018, they held the position of Global Director of Software & Systems Engineering at Lear Corporation, where they managed multinational teams and was responsible for software and systems engineering development for the company's global electronics products. From 1999 to 2004, they worked as a Manager of Diesel Powertrain Controls at Visteon Corporation. Al Beydoun began their career at Ford Motor Company in 1988 as a Product Design Engineer and held the position for over a decade until 1999.

Al Beydoun, Ph.D., has an extensive education history that includes multiple degrees in the field of engineering and business. Al started their academic journey in 1984 at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where they pursued a dual degree in Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. Al successfully completed this program in 1989.

With a strong foundation in electrical engineering, Beydoun went on to further enhance their knowledge and skills by pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Systems Engineering at Wayne State University. Al began their doctoral studies in 1993 and successfully completed their degree in 1999.

Recognizing the importance of business acumen in today's competitive world, Beydoun took a step further in their education and pursued an MBA degree from Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business. Al enrolled in 2007 and completed their studies in Integrative Management in 2008, adding valuable business expertise to their repertoire.
