Earnest Suru

Earnest Suru has a diverse work experience in various software engineering roles. Earnest started their career as a Java Developer Intern at Integrated Software Services LTD in 2014, where they gained experience in Java EE Frameworks and web services development. In 2015, they became a Machine Learning Engineer trainee at the University of Lagos, where they researched and implemented machine learning algorithms.

Earnest then joined the Nigerian Youth Service Corps in 2016 as a Computer Science Instructor, teaching and mentoring secondary school students in computer programming. Earnest continued to expand their skills in software engineering by joining Neptune Software Group in 2017 as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the development of an internet banking platform for micro-finance institutions.

In 2018, Earnest worked as a Software Engineer at ATB Tech, focusing on the development of a cloud-based CRM Sales Automation and Execution Platform. Earnest also worked on the Targets Module, which involved setting revenue targets for salespersons and teams.

From 2019 to 2020, Earnest was a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) at Rensource Energy, where they made significant contributions to building a cloud-based enterprise system in the renewable energy sector. Earnest utilized various technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL and NoSQL databases.

Earnest then joined Interswitch Group in 2020 and worked on multiple projects, including systems integration, industry verticals, and payment tokens/wallet services. Earnest used Agile/SCRUM methodology and a range of technology tools during this time.

In 2021, Earnest held various roles as a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) at Azenia Technology, Equity Bank Limited, and First City Monument Bank Limited. Earnest contributed to the backend development in these roles.

Earnest achieved the "Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification" from GoLeanSixSigma.com in April 2020.
