SW IV&V Lead at Odyssey Space Research

Han-Hsun (Jack) Lu has a diverse work experience spanning from 2010 to present. Han-Hsun(Jack) started as a Summer intern at the National Center for High-Performance Computing in 2010. In 2012, they worked as a Visiting Scholar at NASA Langley Research Center, focusing on structural dynamics and system identification. From 2018 to present, they have been working at Odyssey Space Research, LLC, starting as an Aerospace Software Engineer and later becoming the SW IV&V Lead. In this role, they are responsible for leading independent Verification and Validation for commercial space vehicles, providing technical guidance and project guidance to software engineers, and interacting with NASA and customers. Han-Hsun(Jack) also performs risk analysis, FMECA analysis, and specialized in Autonomous Flight Termination System. Additionally, they served as the GNC FSW V&V Team Lead from 2021 to 2022.

Han-Hsun (Jack) Lu has a strong educational background with a focus on engineering and aerospace. Han-Hsun(Jack) obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from National Cheng Kung University in 2012. After that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering, specifically focusing on Vibration Analysis, from the same university from 2012 to 2014. Jack further expanded their expertise by completing a Master of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Texas A&M University between 2015 and 2017.
