Robert Cognetti has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 1987, they served in the US Navy as a Submariner. Robert then transitioned to the US Air Force in 1997, where they worked as a Computer Switch - 2E2. In 2001, Robert joined USCENTCOM, where they held roles as Lead Network Architect and Network Operation Center (CCJ6) until 2004. From 2003 to 2012, they worked at Raytheon NCS & IIS, starting as a Principal Engineer, Manager, and Strategist and later transitioning to the role of Technology Strategist. In 2012, they became the Director of Strategic Development & Growth at Digital Results Group, Inc., before it was acquired by Novetta in 2014. At Novetta, they served as the Director - C4ISR until 2021. Currently, Robert is the Director of DoD/IC Strategy and Growth at Odyssey Systems, a position they have held since September 2021.
Robert Cognetti obtained a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Homeland Security and Cyber Security from Saint Leo University, which they attended from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended Hinsdale South from 1982 to 1986, but no specific degree or field of study is provided for that period.
