Tom Portlock

CEO at Odyssey Systems

Tom Portlock assumed Odyssey’s CEO role in June 2019. Prior, as Odyssey’s COO/CMO, Mr. Portlock oversaw a portfolio of programs across seven (7) divisions with annual revenue of $200 million. He led all customer-facing business operations and ensured Odyssey’s staff continually delivered the full depth and breadth of expertise needed to meet the challenges of the complex environments in which they serve. Mr. Portlock also developed and implemented business development and marketing strategies, processes, and tools to grow the business in existing and new markets.

Mr. Portlock began his career as a federal employee at Hanscom Air Force Base, in Bedford, Mass., specializing in systems acquisition, engineering, and program management of tactical communications and air traffic management systems. Mr. Portlock transitioned to the private sector in 1997, joining Raytheon’s international air traffic control business and later held program management positions at Nortel Networks. He joined Odyssey in 2002.

Mr. Portlock holds a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from Southeastern Massachusetts University (now UMass Dartmouth).
