Stephen Furlong

Stephen Furlong has extensive experience in various roles in the technology industry. Stephen is currently working as the Director of AWS Platform Engineering at Odyssey Therapeutics, where they manage the scientific computing platform hosted in the AWS Cloud. Previously, they worked as a Freelance CTO, Cloud, Data Science, Machine Learning, DevOps, and Leadership for Startups and Enterprises. Stephen also has experience working at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where they served as a Technical Program Leader for Alexa Automotive and as a Solution Architecture GTM Strategy, Enablement, and Leadership Development. Before that, they worked at Oracle as a Cloud and Infrastructure Pre-Sales Leader and as a Director of Sales Engineering. Additionally, they worked at MarkLogic as a Commercial Sales Engineering & NoSQL Evangelist and at Manugistics as a Manager of Product Development. Stephen began their career at Vastera, where they played an integral role in the company's growth from a small start-up to an IPO.

Stephen Furlong holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University. Stephen also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Longwood University. In addition, Stephen has obtained several certifications including Professional Scrum Master from Scrum.org, AWS Certified Developer Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate from AWS, Certified TOGAF9 Enterprise Architect from The Open Group, and AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty from AWS.
