Peter N. Gal

Peter N. Gal serves as the Deputy Head of Division and Senior Economist at the OECD since June 2011, focusing on productivity growth and technological changes, including AI and digitalization. Prior experience includes roles as Project Manager for the Global Forum on Productivity, where extensive research on the "Human Side of Productivity" was conducted, and significant contributions to the Economics Department on trade impacts and firm-level productivity analysis. Peter has also worked at the IMF as a Visiting Scholar and held positions at the Bank of England and the Central Bank of Hungary, contributing to inflation reports and monetary policy analysis. Peter holds a PhD and MPhil in Economics from Tinbergen Institute and an MSc in Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest.
