Zuzana Smidova is an experienced economist currently working at the OECD since October 2009, where responsibilities include advising governments on structural policy reforms and covering economic developments in Denmark, Estonia, and Latvia. Prior to this, Zuzana served at the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic from January 2004 to September 2009, holding various roles such as Head of Unit in the EU Department, economist in the Fiscal and Macroeconomic Department, advisor to the Minister, and executive assistant for Bezděk's Pensions Commission. Zuzana began the career as a staff reporter for the Prague Business Journal from 2001 to 2004, focusing on business and investigative journalism related to the real estate, construction industry, and regional developments. Zuzana holds a Master's degree in Economics from VSB - Technical University of Ostrava and completed a Hansard Scholarship in Public Policy Analysis at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
