Rick Penney has held a variety of roles in the retail and consumer goods industries since 1998. Rick began their career at CVS Pharmacy, where they worked for 12 years in various positions, eventually becoming a Category Manager. In 2002, they took on a Director of Business Operations role at Integrity Toys, followed by a Vice President Retail Development role at Classic Media. In 2003, they became a Director of Merchandising at Brookstone, where they managed the buying, product development and sourcing activities for $100M Home and Office categories, and propelled sales from $100 million to $130 million while increasing profitability 35%. In 2006, they were recruited by the CMO of Tweeter Home Entertainment to build and manage a new import/product development department. In 2008, they took on the role of Managing Director at Max Wave Development (HK) LTD, a Product Development company specializing in consumer electronics and accessories. In 2017, they became a Project Manager at LKQ inc, where they developed new business strategies to grow bottom line results. Most recently, in 2018, they joined OEM Connect as a Director Business Development and Fulfillment, developing new business opportunities within the imaging industry and identifying and implementing new profit centers.
