Dr. Christoph Oestreicher

Dr. Christoph Oestreicher has extensive work experience in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and data science. Dr. Christoph is currently the CTO and co-founder of oestreicher GmbH, an AI-based educational technology company that offers exclusive online childcare for children aged 4 to 10. Prior to this, they worked as a trainer for AI, machine learning, and data science topics, providing hands-on training to developers, data analysts, and managers. Dr. Oestreicher also co-founded and served as the CTO of AIRYS, where they developed the concept of AI-based education. In addition, they worked as an expert for early business development with data and AI at MARKTCHANCE, offering their expertise in AI strategy, data science team setup, and AI due diligence. Dr. Christoph was a cohort member at Entrepreneur First and gained experience in new business development and data science leadership at Voith Digital, where they turned data into value with AI and machine learning. Dr. Oestreicher also served as a guest lecturer at Fachhochschule Aalen and held the position of program director at the Volkswagen Foundation. Dr. Christoph started their career as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Selforganization and the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, where they completed their PhD and continued as a postdoctoral researcher.

Dr. Christoph Oestreicher completed their education with a Diplom (equivalent to an MSc degree) in Physics from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Neuroscience and Machine Learning at The University of Göttingen from 2005 to 2009.
