Founded in 1963, Ofac, the professional cooperative society of Swiss pharmacists, unites almost 75% of all pharmacies in Switzerland and offers its members a large variety of administrative and IT services. Over the years, Ofac has extended its services to other healthcare providers, such as laboratories, physical therapists or nurses.

Over the past 4 years Ofac has obtained several important data protection certifications, such as ISO 27001 (part of the information security management system) and, most importantly, is certified to strictly comply with the Swiss Data Protection Law, thus proving its ability to manage its IT environment and Information Systems in a secure and sustainable manner.

Ofac manages its own data center storing vast amounts of very sensitive and private healthcare information data. In this context Ofac offers application and data hosting services for external companies following the best practices of business continuity planning.
