Thomas Baldwin-McDonald

Thomas Baldwin-McDonald is an experienced Senior Machine Learning Technologist at Ofcom since February 2024. Previously, Thomas was a PhD student in Computer Science at The University of Manchester, specializing in probabilistic deep learning, and completed a research scientist internship at Spotify. Prior academic experience includes a PhD stint at The University of Sheffield, alongside roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant teaching various programming and machine learning courses. Earlier experience includes a position as a Pricing Analyst at ENGIE, focusing on forecasting energy costs, and various admissions assistant roles at The University of Sheffield. Thomas holds a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Manchester, an MSc in Data Analytics, and a BSc in Physics from The University of Sheffield.
