Bill Zhang is an experienced engineering professional specializing in facilities and process engineering within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Facilities Engineer Advisor at Oxy since 2019, Bill provides production assurance for the shale gas Permian Basin and leads commissioning and startup operations for south-western New Mexico facilities. Previously, in roles at Oilfield Development Engineering, BHP Billiton, Technip, and Fluor Daniel, Bill has contributed to various shale gas projects, offshore platform designs, and processing plants across locations including Texas, the Gulf of Mexico, and Venezuela. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from China University of Petroleum.
