Matt Espineli has been working in the media industry since 2012. Matt began their career at The Daily Californian as a Daily Clog Blogger, where they wrote blog posts about student life at UC Berkeley through an eccentric and comedic voice. In 2014, they worked as a Contributing Editor for TwoDashStash.com, writing news articles, reviews, previews, and critical features about video games, as well as editing articles and providing feedback to writers. Matt also worked as a Games Content Editor for ScienceFiction.com, researching and writing breaking news articles, reviews, and critical features about video games, and establishing content rapport with game developers and PR reps. From 2015 to 2021, Matt worked at GameSpot as an Editor and then as a Senior Content Editor, managing and participating in the production of guides and features content, successfully organizing and overseeing production of over a dozen comprehensive guide and feature coverage plans, and strategizing and playing an active role in growing and developing GameSpot's guides and features. Currently, Matt is a Senior Content Editor at Off Base Productions.

Matt Espineli attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2012 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in English. Prior to that, they attended Diablo Valley College from 2009 to 2012, where they pursued General Education.
