Sean McCafferty

Sean McCafferty has over 12 years of work experience in the field of software engineering. Sean has held various roles at different companies, including Off Base Productions, Human Made, Voce Communications, and Publix I/S.

At Off Base Productions, Sean currently serves as a Staff Software Engineer. In this role, they play a key role in developing strategic plans for product development, collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams to establish development timelines, budgets, and milestones. Sean also mentors and supports the engineering team, ensuring that they meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work. Sean is responsible for building a strong engineering culture centered around accountability, ownership, continuous learning, respectful collaboration, empathy, and delivery excellence.

Prior to their current role, Sean worked as a Senior Web Engineer at Human Made from August 2017 to February 2023.

Before that, they were associated with Voce Communications, where they held multiple positions starting as an Application Developer from February 2011 to August 2013. Sean'sprimary focus during this time was development within WordPress, utilizing PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and MySQL. Sean followed an agile development cycle, taking up tasks ranging from blog maintenance to complete site renovation. Sean later transitioned to the role of Senior Application Developer from August 2013 to February 2015 and then served as Lead Application Developer from February 2015 to August 2017.

Sean began their career as a Programmer Analyst at Publix I/S in November 2007, where they worked on the Supply Chain. Sean utilized .NET technologies and Oracle SQL during their tenure, contributing to the company's programming and analysis requirements until February 2011.

Sean McCafferty attended the University of Central Florida from 2002 to 2004, where they pursued a field of study in Aerospace Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Florida from 2004 to 2007 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Sciences.
