Founders Michael Minsky and Beth Brash met in Japan in 2007 and have spent the nearly two decades since eating their way across the world together. Between them there's a fluency in Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish; a career running the Southern Hemisphere's largest food festival; and more combined hours at local markets, family tables, and hole-in-the-wall restaurants than either of them can count.

Off the Eaten Track is what happened when friends, followers, and fellow travellers kept asking when they could come along.

Off The Eaten Track runs small-group and private tours through Japan and China for people who want to go deeper. Deeper into the neighbourhoods where the food hasn't been written up in English yet. Into the farms, the breweries, the family-run workshops that have been doing the same thing for generations. Into the kind of meal where you're not sure what you ordered, but it turns out to be the best thing you've eaten all year.

Groups stay small by design, with up to six for Japan and twelve for China.
