John Karsen

John Karsen is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in accounts receivable, billing, credit, and collections management. Currently serving as the Director of Accounts Receivable at Office Depot since February 2007, Karsen oversees a team of over 270 associates managing 500,000 accounts and generating annual revenues of $4 billion. Prior roles include Director of Accounts Receivable and Payroll at Medical Staffing Network, Director of Accounting Services at ANC Rental Corporation, and Director of Accounting at Extended Stay America, where Karsen demonstrated a proven track record of handling substantial financial operations across various industries. Karsen’s career began in the United States Air Force, progressing through management positions that laid a strong foundation in financial planning and analysis, accounting principles, and leadership. Karsen holds an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University.
