Gemma Long

Gemma L. is a highly experienced education professional currently serving as the Head of Quality at the Office for Students since February 2023. Gemma also holds positions as an Initial Teacher Education Accreditation Board Member for the Education Workforce Council and as a Trustee for The Sixth Form Colleges Trust. Previous roles include Bye-fellow at St Edmund's College, Cambridge, Coordinating Reviewer for Quality and Qualifications Ireland, and Head of Education Quality and Policy Office at the University of Cambridge. Gemma has extensive experience in quality assurance and governance, including roles as a Senior Quality Advisor for the Welsh Government and Governance Associate at Advance HE. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Bath.
