Deren Owji

Deren Owji is a Contributing Editor at Office Magazine since June 2021, focusing on articles related to fashion, music, contemporary art, and film while developing weekly pitches for managing editors. Previous experience includes a role as a Contributing Writer for Document Journal from May 2022 to September 2022 and as a Paralegal Fellow at WR Immigration where responsibilities involved preparing USCIS forms and interviewing asylum applicants. Deren has also interned in political roles, including a Policy Intern for the Re-Elect John Brooks campaign and a Policy and Communications Intern for Ann Brancato's campaign, both during the summer of 2020. Additionally, Deren completed a summer fellowship at 50+1 Strategies, LLC, focusing on political organizing and communications. Deren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from New York University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Economic History at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
