Erika Halayko is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in prosecution and family law. Currently serving as Chief Assistant Prosecutor at the Office of the Atlantic County Prosecutor since April 2022, Erika previously held the position of Assistant Prosecutor at the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office from November 2010 to June 2022, focusing on the Special Victim's Unit, Financial Crime, and Official Misconduct Unit, while also acting as the Bias Crime and Human Trafficking Liaison. Prior to that, Erika gained experience as a Family Law Clerk at Bergen County Superior Court, where responsibilities included writing legal memoranda and mediating family law cases. Erika holds a Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Criminal Justice from Rutgers University.
