Eric Tabor

Retired Chief Deputy Attorney General at Office of the Attorney General of Iowa

Eric Tabor has a diverse work history. Eric started their career in 1993 as the Chair of the Iowa Democratic Party. Eric then transitioned to the Office of the Attorney General of Iowa in 1995, where they held various roles. Eric served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Farm Division from September 1995 to January 1998. Eric was then promoted to Chief of Staff from January 1998 to December 2013. From December 2013 to January 2021, Eric served as the Chief Deputy Attorney General. Eric recently retired from their position as the Chief Deputy Attorney General.

Eric Tabor completed their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Iowa between 1973 and 1976. Later, they attended the University of Iowa College of Law, where they successfully pursued their Juris Doctor (J.D.) from 1977 to 1980. It is worth noting that they completed their third year of law school at Harvard Law School.
