Samantha Harris

Samantha Harris is a Deputy State Public Defender at the Colorado State Public Defender since October 2022, following a role as a Student Attorney at the Harvard Law Criminal Justice Institute from September 2021 to January 2022. Previous experience includes a legal internship at the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center and a Research Assistant position at Harvard Law School, where research was conducted for Professor Carol Steiker and teaching assistance was provided for Professor Jon Hanson’s 1L Torts class. Additional roles encompass student attorney work at the Harvard Education Law Clinic and legal internships at the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. Samantha's earlier experience at The Ohio State University includes serving as a Relationship Education and Violence Prevention Ambassador and a Resident Advisor, along with a position as Assistant Campus Editor at The Lantern Media Group.
