Eric Gilliland

Eric Gilliland is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the Major Crimes & Emerging Threats Section at the Virginia Office of the Attorney General and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney at the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia. Prior to these roles, Eric held the position of Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney II at the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney in Arlington County, VA. Eric's career includes experience as an Associate Attorney at Ashcraft & Gerel, LLP, and various internships with the Commonwealth Attorney's Office in Williamsburg, the Department of Justice, and the United States District Court. Eric is a United States Army veteran, having served as a Counter Intelligence Agent from July 2011 to August 2017. Eric holds a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
