Eric Gilliland is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the Major Crimes & Emerging Threats Section at the Virginia Office of the Attorney General and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney at the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia. Eric's career includes experience as an Associate Attorney at Ashcraft & Gerel, LLP, and various internships with the Commonwealth Attorney's Office in Williamsburg, the Department of Justice, and the United States District Court. Eric is a United States Army veteran, having served as a Counter Intelligence Agent from July 2011 to August 2017. Eric holds a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
