Trevor Chunga

Trevor Chunga is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in legal and humanitarian contexts. Currently serving as a Research Officer at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) since March 2020, Trevor has previously worked as a Volunteer Resettlement Assistant at HIAS, where responsibilities included conducting refugee intake interviews and researching international refugee laws. Trevor's background also includes a role as a Criminal Justice Research Intern at the National Crime Research Centre, focusing on crime analysis in Kenya. Earlier experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Birmingham involved investigating human rights treaties, while a tenure as a Legal Researcher at Harit Sheth Advocates contributed to legal research skills. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Law: Crime, Justice and Human Rights from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Nairobi.
