Fernando Diaz

Fernando Diaz is an experienced financial professional currently serving as Deputy Treasurer at the Office of the Illinois State Treasurer since January 2015, where responsibilities include leadership of the state of Illinois' $10B 529 College Savings Programs, Bright Start and Bright Directions. Prior to this role, Fernando held various positions at Chicago State University from August 2006 to January 2015, including Director of the Latino Resource Center and Assistant Dean of Students. Educational qualifications consist of a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Chicago State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from Chicago State University.
