Rich Montecalvo is the Chief Assistant State Attorney for the 20th Judicial Circuit in Florida, overseeing the operations of the State Attorney's Office across Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee Counties since October 1994. With a staff of approximately 300, including 120 Assistant State Attorneys, responsibilities encompass daily management and legal oversight. Montecalvo also served as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice and Law at Florida SouthWestern State College from 2004 to 2017, instructing students in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure. Previous legal experience includes a role as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Paul R. Porreca in New Jersey and contract specialist positions with the US Army. Montecalvo holds a Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, History, and Theater from The College of New Jersey.
