Rodrigue Bijlsma

Rodrigue Bijlsma is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as Managing Partner at Officers On Watch since December 2023 and as a Board Member for Antwerp Maritime Academy Alumni since April 2023. Bijlsma's extensive background includes a role as a Reserve Liaison Officer in The Belgian Navy since October 2018 and serving as President of the municipality of Boortmeerbeek since September 2022. Prior positions include Gemeenteraadslid for N-VA and various leadership roles at Port of Antwerp, including Vessel Traffic Service Instructor and Supervisor. Bijlsma also contributed to social housing projects with Sociaal Wonen arro Leuven and optimized nautical operations in international capacities. With a Master’s degree in Nautical Sciences from Antwerp Maritime Academy, Bijlsma brings a wealth of expertise in maritime operations and governance.
