Mark Nall

Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at OffWorld

Mark Nall has had a long and distinguished career in the aerospace industry. Mark began their career in 1986 as a Research Pilot in the USAF, providing airborne telemetry support for Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile testing and for initial Pegasus flights. In 1989, they joined NASA as a Manager and was responsible for forecasting the growing demand for space flight accommodations and developing appropriate justification for additional capability. Mark was also named Program Manager for the Commercial Middeck Augmentation Module Program. From 2000 to 2005, they were Program Manager at Space Product Development, leading a highly leveraged $70M Space Product Development Program that was comprised of over 100 industrial partners and 17 academic research centers. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Member of the Management Advisory Board at the Space Engineering Research Center. In 2016, they co-founded OffWorld and served as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Systems Integration, performing research, development and testing of autonomous robotic mining systems with a primary focus on material handling and processing. Mark also created a company wide systems engineering process to reduce development risks and increase cost and schedule confidence.

Mark Nall earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University between 1975 and 1980. Mark then attended the Clarion Writers' Workshop at Michigan State University in 1979. Mark completed an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California between 1984 and 1986.
