Owain Williams

Owain Williams is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with extensive experience in financial advisory and management across various sectors. Currently serving as a Principal Financial Advisor at Ofgem since July 2023, Owain previously held roles as Specialist Services Lead and Finance Business Partner at the UK Ministry of Defence from May 2020 to July 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Finance Business Partner at the Cabinet Office and as a Project Accountant at Amber Infrastructure Limited, where responsibilities included financial reporting for multiple PFI/PPP assets. Owain began his career at Blick Rothenberg as a Chartered Accountant, focusing on assisting overseas businesses, and briefly worked as a Tax Processor with Grant Thornton LLP. Early career roles also included recruitment consulting and customer service positions at John Lewis Partnership. Owain holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from the University of Birmingham.
