Pete Wightman

Pete Wightman currently serves as the Interim Deputy Director for Price Control Operations at Ofgem, a position held since May 2023, and also holds the title of Head of Policy. Before this role, Pete Wightman was the Director of Corporate Services at Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park from 2019 to 2023, leading a team focused on achieving strategic goals in environmental protection. Previous experience at Ofgem (2012-2019) includes positions such as Head of RIIO Gas Networks and Head of OFTO Tenders and Licence Development. Earlier roles include Senior Policy Analyst with Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (2010-2012) and participation in the Accelerated Economist Training Program with the Government of Canada (2008-2010). Pete Wightman's educational background includes a Master of Public Policy from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Economics and Political Studies from Queen's University.
