Rob Mills has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rob started their career in 1995 at Oliver Wyman as a Senior Consultant before transitioning to the European Network On Debt And Development in 1998, where they served as a Policy Team Manager until 2002. Afterward, they joined the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit, UK Government as a Project Manager from 2002 to 2003.
In 2005, Rob Mills worked simultaneously at the Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) as the Vice President & Director of Industry Research and at The World Bank as the Head of Energy Programme. Rob'srole at SIFMA lasted until 2006, while at The World Bank, they stayed until 2013.
Finally, in 2013, Rob Mills joined Ofgem as the Head of European Energy Markets, a position they still hold.
Rob Mills attended the University of Oxford from 1992 to 1995, where they pursued a degree in Anthropology & Archaeology. Later, in 2003 and 2004, they enrolled in Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), earning a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Economic Policy.
