David Peterson has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. David started their career in 1980 as a Maintenance Engineer at Reserve Mining Company. From 1982 to 1985, they worked as a Maintenance Planner at Mobil Coal Producing Inc. In 1987, they joined NABISCO BRANDS Inc as a Maintenance Superintendent, Supervisor, and Maintenance Planner. David then joined Mondelēz International in 1990, where they held various roles including Plant Engineer/Manager, Engineering Manager, Business Development Manager, and Manufacturing Business Development and Engineering Manager. David worked at Mondelēz International until 2016 when they became the Director of Engineering at Olam SVI - Spices and Vegetable Ingredients.

David Peterson attended Nova Southeastern University from 1983 to 1985, where they obtained an MBA degree in Business. Prior to that, from 1976 to 1980, they studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSME) degree in the same field.
