Sarah Watson (nee Needham) has a diverse and extensive work experience in the water industry. Sarah is currently working at Ofwat since 2021, where they have held multiple roles, including Director of Operational Performance and Data Strategy and Interim Director. Prior to that, Sarah worked at Mott MacDonald from 2012 to 2021, where they served as the Ofwat Asset Management and Engineering Delivery Partner Lead and Principal Asset Management Advisor. Sarah started their career at United Utilities in 2005 and held various positions, including R&D Manager, Wastewater Process Scientist, and Regulatory Interactions Manager. Sarah has a strong background in asset management, regulatory reporting, and operational resilience.
Sarah Watson (nee Needham) has a diverse education history. Sarah obtained a PhD in Biogeochemistry from the University of Liverpool from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their MGeol in Sedimentology and Palaeontology at UC Santa Barbara from 2000 to 2001. Sarah also earned another MGeol in Geological Sciences from the University of Leeds from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, they pursued a Yoga Teaching Diploma, specifically a Yoga Alliance 200Hrs Teaching Diploma, through the Sun Power Yoga Teacher Training program from 2011 to 2012. Sarah Watson's educational achievements include a strong background in geology and a specialization in biogeochemistry, along with certification in yoga teaching.
