Nicholas Burkill

Nicholas Burkill is a partner at Ogier in the BVI office, specializing in a range of disputes in the BVI Commercial Court, including company control disputes, insolvency, civil fraud, and asset tracing. They previously led the London Trial Group at Dorsey & Whitney from 2005 to 2016 and headed the commercial disputes group at Taylor Wessing from 1984 to 2005. Nicholas holds a MA in Law from the University of Cambridge, earned in 1983. Currently, they serve as the chair of the BVI Arbitration Group and are a member of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court Rules Review Committee. In February 2024, they were appointed to the BVI Disciplinary Tribunal under the Legal Profession Act 2015.
