Brendan Hawthorn

Brendan Hawthorn, MD FACEP FAAEM FAEMS, is an accomplished emergency medicine physician with extensive experience in clinical and academic roles. Currently serving as the Assistant Medical Director at Piedmont since January 2023, Brendan also holds the position of Emergency Physician at Georgia Emergency Medicine Specialists since January 2014. In addition, Brendan has been the EMS Medical Director for Oglethorpe County and an Associate Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at the UGA/AU Medical Partnership since January 2015 and January 2014, respectively. Brendan's board certifications include Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and previous appointments include tactical medical director roles and academic positions at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Brendan completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Rochester and an MD from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
