Ohana Communities is dedicated to creating a vibrant and supportive Ohana. Rooted in the cultural concept of 'Ohana,' meaning a sense of family and belonging that extends beyond blood relations.

Ohana Communities is being established to address the need for housing, community, and stability for families with adults with developmental disabilities and their caregivers. We seek to accomplish this by building pocket neighborhoods consisting of small single-family homes in conjunction with a group home where the parents or caregivers and the adult child with developmental disabilities could live together in a single-family home, and transition to the group home, or start in the group home, but still live near their parents or caregivers.

Ohana Communities is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
