Ashley Russell

Ashley Russell is a skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace sector, currently holding the position of Mechanical AIT at OHB SE since June 2021. Previous roles include Test Bench Mechanical at Isar Aerospace and Specialist Spacecraft Technician at Airbus Defence and Space. Ashley's expertise encompasses environmental testing for significant projects, including involvement in the ESA and NASA collaboration. Key responsibilities have included conducting complex environmental test campaigns, performing final spacecraft preparations for launch, and operating in high-sensitivity cleanroom conditions. Prior to entering the aerospace field, Ashley served as an Aircraft Technician in the British Army, gaining substantial knowledge in flight maintenance and hydraulic systems across various aircraft platforms. Currently pursuing a Higher National Diploma in Engineering at The Open University, Ashley continues to build a robust foundation in engineering principles.
