Frank Steier

Frank Steier is an experienced lead system engineer at OHB SE since August 2010, currently serving as the PLATO Lead System Engineer for the spacecraft prime contract during Phase C. Previously, Frank held roles such as System Engineering Manager for the PLATO proposal and Phase B and contributed to various projects, including managing microvibration aspects and serving as AIV Manager for the Meteosat Third Generation. From November 2008 to July 2010, Frank worked as a researcher at the Max Planck Society, focusing on LISA Pathfinder optical system tests and on-board software system engineering. Frank obtained a doctorate in physics from Leibniz Universität Hannover in 2008, following a diploma in physiotherapy from the same university in 2004.
